God is good!
Well, the wheels are in motion. We have agreed on a price for the house, and just have to do all the technical stuff to get to closing. Yay! Here are a few more photos of the outside, and a video tour of the inside (narrated by my awesome husband).
In other news, I had my postpartum appointment, and Paige had her two month checkup. I apparently pulled my groin when I gave birth to Paige, only I didn’t know that’s what the cause of my pain was, so I kept stretching and trying to exercise, and add to that carrying Paige around, sometimes in her carseat, lifting Jacob up, etcetera… and yeah, it wasn’t healing. Even since I figured out what the pain was, I keep aggravating it. Because hello - I can’t stop walking around, you know?!?! But at least now I know not to stretch it and stuff. lol!!
Paige is doing great. She weighs 9 pounds, 12 ounces, and is 22.4″ long. She’s around the 70th percentile for her height, and the 40th for her weight. Tall and thin.
She hated getting her shots, and I hated her getting them. But she got over it quickly. She rolled over from her back to her belly twice around six or seven weeks old, but hasn’t done it since. She has been smiling real eye-contact smiles since she was two days old, and is very easily amused. She seems to be in a huge hurry to go somewhere, and I’m just like “slow down!! you are my last one!!”
The kids and I are getting ready for the move. We leave town in 10 days.
Photos of Darby’s new ‘do coming soon!
And without further ado, I give you the photos and video of our future home. Let me go ahead and state that we WILL be changing the wall colors because WOW with that red and yellow… LOL! And we’ll also be doing some landscaping. I cannot WAIT to get there and make this house our home.
Oh, and that big nearly finished room in the basement will be split up into Brittany’s room and my office/craft area. The concrete room will be turned into a gym. Did I mention I’m excited?!?! We have never owned a home before.

I’m sure the kids will LOVE the creek/woods!! So you might take the grass out of the flower bed??
I wish I was a renter at times…
the house looks nice! I am so excited for ya’ll.
We’re excited for you guys! Sorry to hear about the groin, but I’m sure Paige is well worth it!
lol Matt, as pretty as the grass IS… yeah I think we might put actual flowers there.
Yes, Paige is definitely worth the bodily damage!!
Everything looks great! I love the house! Really?? Get rid of the yellow paint in the kitchen… I kinda liked it… kinda cute and bright!
What colors are you thinking??? Your basement will be awesome!
It looked like a great area!
That front room will be kind of like we use ours here… books and a comfy chair or two… where the awful shade of red is, we’ll use a dark teal and use black bookcases and frames, white trim… and keep the bottom of wall white so as not to teal overload.
Kitchen – chocolate brown on walls, keep cabinets white, diff shades of blue and light teal/aqua for dishes.
family room/stairs/landing – a neutral light brown on walls, white trim.
I’m not big fan of yellow, so yeah… it has to go!
I like the house! I love yellow but not that shade and not in that space. I am glad after WA you can find some trees. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Good update for Paige.(not the shots);-)
Too funny about the colors. You’d hate my house then. lol. I am a color nut!!! I have red a yellow here, so I kinda like the red and yellow in your new home.
To each their own though. hee hee:) I like teal and brown too. I bet that’s gonna look great. We are looking at selling and moving up near where Matt lives. According to the realtor, some certain type people will love the colors I have here so I shouldn’t change them to try to sell. lol. But hey, what can I say? My taste varies widely though. So glad for you all and I can’t wait to come visit when you get settled. Hopefully 3rd try will be a charm. lol.
That was supposed to be red and yellow. lol.
lol Tonya… I like red and yellow, but not on my walls. I know lots of people do though – I was at someone’s house today who had a pale yellow and a dark red theme going on… and it looked nice, but it’s not my style.
Actually, I’m going to use red in my office/ craft area. But now that I think of it, probably not on the walls there either. lol.
I know I know!!! Hopefully we can make it work soon.
The house looks great with lots of room!! Very exciting.
I, too am a fan of reds and yellows. That’s why I have teal! Okay, that does not compute! I had really pale cabinets, in our last place, too pale. Backing it with a dark eggplant made them so pretty, they really popped. Brown should have the same effect on all that white.
For those who think there are no trees in Wahington state, we have a LOT of trees. Bainbridge Island, where we live, even has a Grand Forest!
Good luck on the move. I know there are a lot of people looking forward to you living closer to them.
AWESOME!!!! I’m excited for you as well..I can’t wait to see what colors you put in that house!!
Can’t wait to see what colors you come up with!
I’m sure they will be gorgeous! We love our aqua color in the living room. It’s so pretty. I think ours is called Quiet Moment from Home Depot. It’s not too blue or green and not too bold, but is so nice and even. We love it!
Brown in the kitchen…. I LOVE IT!! Great idea!!!
Is Andy the painter in the family or are you doing it? We hated painting.
But, you actually have lots of great helpers!
