Passworded Blog

If you’re still confused and deeply curious about the added password, just email me. :)

I decided to not only add a password, but to go ahead and use wordpress to do my blog for a while.  Why?  I’m glad you asked… I’ll tell you… :)

  • I want a ‘normal’ comments section.  And yes, I could just figure out how to add that to my ‘homemade’ blog, but this is much simpler for now.
  • I want my site to be ‘searchable’ and easy to put into book form.  I plan on adding the older posts slowly but surely… IF I decide to stick with ‘wordpress’, that is.
  • It’s an easy way to be able to be viewed in a blog reader site.  I know several of you use those tools now, and it makes it so much easier to see when a blog has been updated.  Since I started using Google Reader, I realize what a hassle it is to have to check my site all the time to see if it’s been updated.  I’m only thinking of you. :)   (and yes, I also could just add an RSS feed to my ‘homemade’ site… and even recently realized it’s actually not that hard… but yeah… still thinking simple, okay?) :)   Of course, with the password, you can’t view it in Google Reader, but you know – once I remove that you can. :)
  • I was getting bored with what I was doing and decided to make things more confusing for everyone. ;)

The password will only last until summer (unless, of course, I decide I LIKE not being googlable! Is that a word? No? I didn’t think so).

I know this is completely generic, but I haven’t set up the “look” yet and put my images in this new pw protected directory, etcetera.  I’ll make it pretty soon.  No worries maties. :)

And… that about covers it.  Leave me some comments.  Let me know you are still going to read and this isn’t all a waste of time. :)

“Googlable – A state of being in which a person, place, or thing is found via Google.”

Who knew, huh? I was wondering what was “wrong” with your site yesterday… :)

I used the term googled to a European friend and he got a good laugh at that. Now the entire offices of Mitsubishi Erope used it that way!
