I can’t help falling in love with you…

Andrew and I have been married for 16 years, 5 days. Our marriage just keeps getting better and better, and just when I think it’s perfect, it gets even better.

I’m so thankful that God chose to work a miracle and keep our family together six and a half years ago, even though we were seemingly determined to destroy it. We have learned so much about what a husband and wife are supposed to be, and it’s truly a beautiful thing when both spouses are committed, loving, and working hard to be the spouse God wants us to be. :)

Before our absolutely fabulous date on Friday night (the day of our anniversary), we tried to get Britta and Jarvis to take a picture of us. Here’s what we got…

Um, yeah, none of our children plan on becoming professional photographers. lol

    Well, well, well, I am back. Much to your joy & delight, I know. Glad to see you lovebirds still holding on. This post was much nicer than the one I previously commented on, so I am giving you another shot.
    It is SO worth it, isn’t it? In my opinion, only God can give a heavenly marriage, once we give it ALL to Him. And that is what I have learned…after many, many failed attempts on my own (yeah, at times, I can be a bit foolish and stubborn???). All I know is, I LOVE my husband (like God wants me to), and he is the best. We are actually one flesh, and how sweet it is.
    Okay, so yeah, Congrats! Still praying for you guys, and ALWAYS will.

    Oh Petra! Congratulations! You 2 have a once in a lifetime love and it clearly shows. I LOVE the pics Brit took…who cares if they are blurry, I can still see the love there. Awesome. You all are so blessed to have such a beautiful family. :)

    Congrats! That is a long time. Coming up on 14 for Carolyn and I and that seems like a long time!
